The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) condemned Wednesday attacks against the United States and described them as "criminal and brutal acts."
OIC secretary general, Abdelwahid Balqaziz said in a statement issued in Jeddah that he was extremely shocked at the terrorist attacks in Washington and New York where thousands of innocent people died and suffered injuries, the official Kuwaiti news agency (KUNA) quoted him as saying.
He considered the attacks as a “breach of all humanitarian principles and all heavenly religions, namely Islam.”
Balqaziz expressed his condolences to US President George W. Bush, the government and people of the United States.
He added the whole Muslim world is “sympathizing with them in this horrible catastrophe and hoped justice will be able to reach the culprits,” said the statement – Albawaba.com
