Morocco accounts for 1,507 HIV/AIDS cases, according to figures published by the Moroccan Health Ministry on the epidemiological situation of AIDS up to 30 September 2004.
According to MAP, the same source revealed that 38pc of persons infected with the disease are women, adding that seroprevalence in pregnant women is estimated at 0.13pc.
