Three gunmen shot to death an Iraqi policeman on his way to work Saturday in Mosul, police said.
Also Saturday, the U.S. military also said several people who were planning attacks against its forces had been captured in a northern province.
The victim in Mosul was a 24-year-old recent graduate of a police academy that has received support and guidance from US-led forces.
In the northern province of Nineva, U.S. troops captured 16 people, 10 of whom were planning attacks, the U.S. military said Saturday. The other six included a weapons dealer and black market merchants, Master Sgt. Kelly Tyler said, according to The AP. (Albawaba.com)
