Nigerian Prime Minister Hama Amadou arrived in Tehran Tuesday evening for a three-day official visit to the Islamic Republic.

Iranian Minister of Cooperatives Ali Soufi greeted Amadou upon his arrival at the Mehrabad International Airport.

The visiting Premier said he was glad to be in Iran and expressed hope his visit would lead to the enrichment of Tehran-Niamey relations in all fields.

Referring to the similarity in positions held between Iran and Niger on the Palestinian issue and the continuing atrocities in the occupied territories, the Premier restated his country's support for the Palestinian Intifada, the Islamic Republic News Agency reported.

Soufi, on his part, expressed appreciation for the Nigerian prime minister's visit and said he was optimistic it would result in further advancement of bilateral relations between the two countries. (Albawaba.com)
