National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) is organizing an international symposium on “The Outlook for the Global Oil Industry and implications for GCC Economies”, to be held under the patronage of the Minister of Energy H.E. Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, on Saturday 27th May at the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development.
NBK’s chairman, Mohammad Abdul Rahman Al-Bahar, said that leading regional and global experts as well as policy makers will address key issues shaping the current and future oil scene. Participants will shed light on factors affecting oil prices. They will discuss market anticipations, Supply-Demand Balance, Medium-term Outlook for Oil Markets and the possible scenarios that might witness a soaring in the barrel's price surpassing $100. The conference will also address issues pertaining to challenges stemming from Asia high demand, U.S. strategic energy policy, the energy security problems as well as the new role of National Petroleum Companies (NCOs).
Kuwait Petroleum Corporation’s (KPC) Vice Chairman and CEO, Mr. Hany Hussein will be the keynote speaker of the event. Renowned experts in the energy and petroleum domain will participate in the discussions; Dr. Waleed khadduri the director of Al Hayat business desk, Katherine Spector, Vice President and Global Head of Energy Strategy of JP Morgan Chase Bank, Arjun Murti, managing Director in Goldman Sachs, Edward Morse the executive advisor for HESS energy trading Company and Vahan Zanoyan President and CEO of PFC oil company.
