Musharraf to Visit Egypt Late February

Pakistani military ruler, General Pervez Musharraf, will pay a two-day official visit to Egypt on February 24, reported the Iranian News Agency (IRNA). 

Musharraf will hold talks with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to discuss bilateral ties between the two countries and the situation in the Middle East, said the agency.  

The Pakistani ruler will brief Mubarak on Indian-Pakistani ties and the situation in Kashmir and Afghanistan, Pakistan's ambassador to Egypt, Anwar Kamal, was quoted by the agency as telling al-Akhbar daily.  

He said that Egypt and Pakistan were in constant consultations on  

various regional and international issues, and there was strong commitment to combat terrorism.  

Last week, Musharraf visited Syria where he signed six agreements on trade, tourism, telecommunication, media and other fields. 

The Pakistani ruler also paid a visit to Jordan and Lebanon -- Albawaba.com
