Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is expected to deliver an important political speech at the joint session of both Parliament and Shura Council on November 10, the daily Al Ahram reported.
The president will tackle the latest political developments at the local and international levels in light of the recent international events and the terrorist attacks in the US. This is in addition to the campaign against terrorism and the strikes against Afghanistan.
It is anticipated that the president will issue his instructions to both councils and government yrging both authorities to work for for more achievements in economic, political and social development.
Meanwhile, the parliament will hold its first session on Wednesday November 7, 2001 under the chairmanship of the eldest member to elect the council’s top echelon, which will comprise of the speaker and his two deputies.
The parliament will also hold two other sessions to elect members for 18 different committees -- Albawaba.com
