Making headlines with its sleek and sophisticated range of mobile devices, Motorola is now keeping contestants connected on the popular Arabic reality TV show, Mission Fashion ‘06.
Mission Fashion ’06, which has its finale on June 8, is just one of the ways that Motorola is highlighting its increasingly strong connection with the world of style and couture. Later this month, the company is launching its gold RAZR Dolce & Gabanna edition in the Middle East, and fashion icons including Nicole Richie, Victoria Beckham, and Gwen Stefani have all been snapped with their Motorola handsets.
Touted as the ‘must-have’ accessory and carried by fashionistas the world over, the elegant Motorola RAZR V3 is also now gracing the small screen on Mission Fashion ’06. A ‘phone for all seasons’, the RAZR V3 is available in breathtaking hues like original silver, matte black, outrageous pink, cosmic blue, diamond-embedded versions and the upcoming D&G Gold.
“Motorola handsets reflect the aspirations and tastes of the discerning GenNext consumers, who form a major audience for current reality TV shows. Through Mission Fashion ’06, we aim to reach out to our smart and savvy audience, who are as aware of the latest in changes in technology as they are of the latest designer bags and trendy restaurants,” said Patrick Mulligan, General Manager, Motorola Mobile Devices Business, Middle East, North Africa and Turkey.
“The RAZR range of phones -- with eye catching colors constantly being introduced -- not only appeals to today’s most design-conscious users but also offers the best in mobile commuting to suit their vibrant lifestyle, without compromise on iconic form factor.”
Broadcast by the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation (LBC), Mission Fashion showcases 10 apprentice designers and 10 apprentice models from the Arab world, who start on a challenging but rewarding journey of 8 weeks to win the coveted title. Each week, one designer and one model are voted out from the show, based on their performance vis-à-vis other contestants.
Contestants have been using Motorola RAZR handsets to communicate with colleagues and friends as part of the competition.
