Statements recently made by Dubai Police Chief, General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim during a lecture at the Teachers' Association in Ras Al Khaymah have created a storm in a number of Gulf capitals. The General accused the Israeli Mossad agents of a number of fraudulent operations in an attempt to undermine the economies of the Gulf region.

The collapse of some banks in the UAE, and its attribution to the Israeli Mossad and the flight of the alleged Mossad agent, the Indian businessman, Hares Bateel from Dubai after stealing millions of dollars from Bahraini and UAE banks have come to the surface. “The next few days will reveal all that,” said Tamim.

The Saudi newspaper Al Watan said that Bahrainis have remembered the forged 20-dinar banknote which penetrated the Bahraini banks directly in 1998 and which was dispensed by the auto teller or Bahraini banks directly.

Tamim confirmed that the Israeli intelligence service, Mossad, is behind all these operations indicating that the man who was arrested on fraud charges at Dubai airport with 80 million Bahraini dinars in his possession “has connection with the former Israeli Foreign Minister, David Levy” -- Albawaba.com
