The Moroccan University team won bronze medal in the football tournament of the 23rd Universade (Olympics for Students), which took place in Izmir, Turkey. <i>Le Matin</i> reports that the Moroccan team received the bronze medal after its victory over Brazil. The gold medal was taken by Japan, while silver medal went to Italy. Japan has been the champion of the Universade editions for three consecutive years (in Universade 2001, 2003 and now in 2005). At the time of the Universade 2003 in Daegu (South Korea), Morocco had occupied the 4th place behind Japan, Italy and the Czech Republic.
