Morocco fighting illegal emigration

Fighting illegal emigration is a top priority to the interior ministry that will create new administration services to crack down on human trafficking networks, Moroccan interior minister Al Mostapha Sahel has said. 

 

In a speech on Friday, read out in the name of the minister at the opening of the national conference on immigration, the minister said the new law on foreigners’ stay in Morocco and illegal emigration aims to harmonize the Moroccan legislation with international conventions in this issue. It is also meant to enable Morocco respect its commitments in the fight of illegal emigration and human trafficking networks, he added, according to MAP
