Morocco’s exports of phosphate totaled 4.7 billion dirhams (nearly $ 470 million) in the four months of this year, reported the official Maghrebe Arab Presse (MAP).
The figure represents a 20 percent rise compared to the same period of 2000.
Natural and chemical fertilizers exports also increased by 16.4 percent to total $1.3 billion, while phosphoric acid sales grew by 1.7 percent only, said MAP.
