Morocco’s King Appoints New Interior Minister

Morocco’s King Mohammed on Wednesday appointed a new interior minister, Driss Jettou, to replace Ahmed El Midaoui, reported the official Maghrbe Arab Press (MAP).  

El Midaoui, who became interior minister in November 1999, was appointed advisor to the king.  

Jettou had served as finance minister, trade, industry and handicraft minister, before being appointed last August as chief executive officer of the phosphates office, it said – Albawaba.com
