More than 2,000 Moroccan expatriates in the region of Catalonia marched on Sunday in the streets of Barcelona to express their support in the "Moroccanity" of the Sahara and to denounce the allegations, "aimed at deluding the local Spanish public opinion, as well as the international public opinion" regarding the situation in the southern provinces of Morocco.

Bladi.Net reports that the Moroccan demonstrators came from various cities and villages in the region of Catalonia and Aragon and marched to the "Plaza Catalunya" in the center of Barcelona.

The organizers of the march noted that "their position was also supported by Erik Jensen, the former representative of the UN General Secretary to the Sahara, who recently reaffirmed in Madrid that the best solution for the Sahara would be to become an autonomy within the framework of the Moroccan sovereignty.
