Moroccan minister of education delivers key speech in Arab education conference

The Moroccan minister of education, and responsible for a major literacy campaign in the country, Anis Birou outlined the central importance of education in shaping and informing identity. He made the comments in the seventeenth General Arab Conference on education. The conference took place in a suburb of Tunis, Gammarth.

 

Birou emphasized that reform are vital, especially in reducing the fee for education and incorporating modern techniques into the Arab curriculum. This is one of a series of speeches from senior Arab ministers calling for reform in the education sector.
