Moroccan King Mohammed VI met Syrian president Bashar al-Assad in Fez city on Monday, where they held talks on regional and bilateral issues, said agencies.
The meeting was attended by Mohammed bin Isa and Farouq al-Shara, the foreign ministers of Morocco and Syria respectively.
Morocco is Assad’s first leg in a north African tour that will also take him to Tunisia, reported the Kuwaiti official KUNA news agency.
Assad is also set to visit several other Arab countries later this year.
Source told KUNA that Assad will visit Kuwait, Oman, Algeria, France, Germany and Spain - Albawaba.com
