The Moroccan film, "Angels don't fly above Casablanca" directed by Mohammed Al-Asali won the "Golden Tanet Award" (first award called after an ancient Carthage God) in Carthage film festival, which was ended on Saturday, in the
first Moroccan win since the 1966 festival.
According to Al Sabah newspaper, the film had previously been awarded several local and international awards, Including, "The Golden Sea Bride" in the 20th Alexandria Festival, and during the "Arab World Institute for first Dramatic Work" in the seventh Arab Film Festival in Paris, and had participated also in Kan film festival under the category of the "Critic's Week".
The film deals with the problem of immigration from the country to the city in looking for a job through the stories of three young friends working in a restaurant in Casablanca and their adventures and inspirations.
