Monsoon rains have flooded parts of Bangladesh and disrupted train services, a television report said Wednesday.
Trains between the capital Dhaka and the southeastern port city of Chittagong were disrupted after a railway bridge was damaged by gushing waters, the private Ekushey Television (ETV) said.
Trains that left Dhaka early Wednesday were forced to return without reaching their destinations, it said.
In the country's northeastern tea-growing Sylhet district a dam on the major Khowai river was damaged and water had flooded some nearby areas, ETV said.
Officials said water levels were rising in most of the major rivers in Bangladesh, which is criss-crossed by some 230 rivers.
Roads in Dhaka were also flooded, making the usual traffic chaos even worse.
