Much arabyeah! the region’s first ever western-branded, free-to-air youth channel, has scheduled the premiere episode of the much anticipated reality TV show Mo3askar Al Sabaya ma3 Suhein for broadcast on February 9th. Originally created and tailored to tackle teenagers’ interest, the program takes six young girls on a voyage of personal discovery that breaks barriers and challenges their sense of their Arab and individual identities.

The girls, all Lebanese, were brought together at the rugged location of Laklouk in the Mount Lebanon range, where they were encouraged to come to terms with their self image, each other and their conflicting views. Among all the difficulties there was one neither they – nor the program makers - could have anticipated. In the middle of filming in Lebanon in July of last year War broke out.

For the first time Much arabyeah! Takhayal Entertainment’s music, lifestyle and entertainment channel, pushes the boundaries of broadcasting in the region with a program that challenges its audience to look at themselves in a new light. Mo3askar Al Sabaya reflects Arab-owned diversified film production and satellite broadcaster Takhayal’s commitment to put forward thought-provoking content that goes beyond conventional and mainstream television.

Mr. Youssef El-Deeb, Takhayal Entertainment’s Chairman and Managing Director said: “Although we are a music, entertainment and lifestyle channel, we felt that due to the current events in the region, we could not hold back this show any longer. Through Mo3askar Al Sabaya, we hope to reach out to the Arab youth across the region and take forward its mission to inform and challenge the public through entertainment.”

The show, a ground-breaking concept custom made for the Arab world, offers an inspiring insight into the minds and motivation of the region’s youth and is certain to develop a cult following. The participation and guidance of Suhein Beck, a renowned life coach, adds an unusual twist of flavor to the program. Suhein Beck is a second generation American born to Syrian Circassian parents. She is a successful businesswoman and mother of two girls. Suhein also works as a Life Coach, helping to empower young girls and teenage women to give them the tools lacking to help make better sisters, mothers and wives.

Beck said: “This show is not and never will be about ratings, making money, or any type of gain. It has no hidden political, socio-religious or economic agenda. Everyone involved in this show on every level and location, from Los Angeles to Beirut, absolutely believed that every moment devoted to the project would have a positive impact and touch the lives of the audience.”

Beck added: “The program is about raising the awareness of young ladies and encouraging them to take responsibility for themselves to play an effective role in society. We hope that the girls’ candidness and admirable patriotism will leave a print on people’s hearts and give them something to think about.

“Today, girls growing up in the region have heavier burdens to bear than ever before. Apart from the usual teenage difficulties and stresses, young Arab girls have few outlets and tend to inhabit very private and confused worlds. This program is about helping such girls to empower themselves and take responsibility for their own futures.”

Much arabyeah! was launched recently following a tie-up between Takhayal Entertainment Group and Chum International, owner and operator of MuchMusic Canada. Much bigger, much louder, and much better, Much arabyeah! can now be viewed on NileSat3 (12341 MHZ).
