Following the intercultural concert he has organized in the Center of Mediterranean Music, Ennejma-Ezzahra, in Sidi Bou Said, titled "The Minaret and the Tower", Riadh Feri explains his creed, which stood behind the concert. He explained to La Presse that his aim was to encourage a dialogue between east and west and to make people look at what they have in common, from the environment and climate to music and tones, which create an open space for dialogue, free of walls and barriers.
La Presse reports that the concert took place on February 17 and 18 and ended in both evenings with tremendous standing ovations by the cheering crowd. Apart from Riadh Fehri, the concert's renowned list of musicians included Anglo-Tunisian Yasmine Kirpalani-Azaiez, the Spanish Juan Gimenez, the American Thomas Rosenkranz and the Tunisians Bיchir Selmi, Slim Jaziri and Lassaגd Hosni.
