HR professionals from in and around the Middle East are set to converge at the regions foremost HR event being held in Dubai from 18 – 21 September at the JW Marriott. Over 500 participants have already registered for the event which will commence with management guru Tom Peters and proceed to the first HR Excellence Awards in the region, expert panel discussions and an exhibition on the latest technologies and techniques that will further the HR industry.
The exhibition is exclusively dedicated to the conference delegates and will showcase leading providers and suppliers of HR and Training products. Extending through the duration of the Summit, the exhibition will provide a one-stop-shop for HR professionals seeking the best way to obtain and consider the range of solutions available.
“The exhibition is an important feature of the entire Summit. It acts as a networking platform that allows HR related companies to display their capabilities directly to their main market segment. At the end of the day, what we are trying to achieve through the HR Summit is promote the value of HR in the region and provide HR practitioners the chance to learn and adopt from the latest practices and ideas, thus allowing them to do their job better,” said Jackie Wilks, Conference Director, IIR Middle East, organisers of the event.
“Being an exhibitor at the HR Summit benefits MRI on many levels. It presents us the opportunity to meet with HR professionals and to showcase our talents as the world’s largest and most successful executive search organisation,” said Praveen Manghnani, Managing Partner, MRI Worldwide Dubai
The event features exhibitors from HR and business consultancies, training and education providers and financial services such as MRI Worldwide, Innovative Human Resource Solutions, Franklin Covey, PI Worldwide, Stafford Associates, Focus Learning, Ascent and Zurich International Life. “We have an exceptional mix of exhibitors that range from one end of the spectrum to the other. An HR practitioner would find that all requirements are catered to from the HR and employees viewpoint,” added Wilks.
The HR Summit has gathered momentum since its announcement earlier this summer with the first HR Excellence awards for the region. The HR Excellence awards for ‘Outstanding Contribution to HR’ and ‘HR Professional of the Year’ are sponsored by the National Commercial Bank-Saudi Arabia and Motorola respectively
The Middle East HR Summit is organised by the Institute for International Research (IIR). In the 2nd successive year of showing, the Middle East HR Summit provides a forum for visitors to share questions, goals, challenges and experiences with the conference faculty as well as peers from almost every region of the world. The Summit focuses on the strategic level of HR, with a strong emphasis on existing global best practice, using a dynamic mix of case studies from leading local, regional and international blue-chip companies. The 1st Middle East HR Summit, held in September 2004 in Dubai, attracted over 200 human resource professionals and 43 leading regional and global practitioners.
