Metrofile, a subsidiary of M’sharie LLC, the venture capital arm of Dubai Investments, has announced that it will be attending the PRISM International Asia Pacific region conference, being held from February 14-16 in Hong Kong. The increasing demand for outsourced document storage by Middle Eastern businesses coupled with technological developments shaping the industry are expected to attract an audience of senior executives and business leaders to the three day event.
The Professional Records and Information Services Management (PRISM) conference is the premier international event for companies that provide their clients with protection, access, retention, storage and disposal of their vital information. The conference will address pressing strategic and technical issues, preview the latest technological innovations and present an overview of emerging markets, trends and opportunities.
Commenting on participating at PRISM, Andre le Roux, General Manager, Metrofile UAE said, “The information storage industry is witnessing dramatic changes, especially in the Middle East, as the high cost of renting or buying office space has made in-house storage less viable. The PRISM conference is an excellent opportunity to track the direction of the industry, streamline ideas, network with industry leaders and strengthen our partnerships with some of the world’s leading companies.”
With members derived from 40 countries, the PRISM conference is designed to explore and highlight challenges, opportunities and potential within the document storage and protection industry. Founded in 1980, members of PRISM include the owners and senior management of commercial information management companies.
“Outsourcing document storage provides businesses with an opportunity to cut costs, maximise information safety and optimise efficiency. World wide, the amount of paper-based information is declining, however document storage is becoming more indispensable as technological developments create the need for more innovative and specialised document management,” Le Roux added.
Metrofile is a Dubai-based company that specialises in document storage for active and inactive documents and offers off-site and on-site document storage and computer backup in addition to various electronic document management solutions. Metrofile has a portfolio of high-ranking clients including government organisations and banks and has recently been awarded the Dubai Quality Award for leadership, innovation and improvement of its industry.
