The first Mediterranean mathematics days (JMMA1), organized by the Mathematics Association in conjunction with University of Carthage and the Polytechnic School of Tunisia and the Faculty of Science, was held between March 23 and March 25 in Tozeur. The event aimed at exchanging information in the field of mathematics and to create cooperation between the researches of the Mediterranean countries in the disciplines related to the application of mathematics.
<i>La Presse</i> reports that members of the French academy of sciences, and several lecturers from different parts of the world took part in the event. The first Mediterranean Mathematics Days hosted recent works and projects in differential geometry, modeling, simulation and scientific computation.
