ALBAWABA - Mas poisoning was reported in the Ukrainian parliament, leaving the Verkhovna Rada session almost empty, People's Deputy of Ukraine Mykola Tyshchenko announced Thursday.
Tyshchenko revealed that the Ukrainian parliament's hall was almost empty after fellow members of the parliament were subjected to food poisoning and were unable to join Thursday's session, UNN reported.
"The session hall is empty. As Oleksandr Kornienko said, there is no potential in the hall. Why not? Because deputies were poisoned, and the activity of the Ukrainian parliament has been forcibly suspended during the war, we cannot work because our colleagues were poisoned in the canteen," Tyshchenko revealed in a video on Telegram.
In addition, Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported that on Thursday, February 12, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine did not consider any issues during the plenary session due to a lack of votes.
Zheleznyak continued, "Partially true due to the poisoning of deputies (as they say yesterday in the canteen). And many are on business trips."
On the other hand, a Ukrainian veteran and activist claimed that MPs skipped work after they were unable to agree on this year's budget and some other decisions.
He wrote on X, "Today's plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine did not take place due to a half-empty chamber. The people's deputies simply skipped work.
"Against this backdrop, the authorities decided to launch a fake story about a "mass poisoning in the parliamentary cafeteria," and this version was already voiced by Kolya Tyshchenko. For plausibility, they wrote this version in the people's deputies' chat and asked for information from those who have poisoning from consuming dishes in the parliamentary cafeteria."
The post continued, "The real reason is that the people's deputies failed to agree on carving up this year's budget and did not receive guarantees of their immunity for participating in the schemes."
