The Egyptian Sports Club has trained a number of “police” dogs and is giving them the run of the facility in order to sniff out drug dealers and addicts, the Cairo-based daily Al Akhbar said.
The club’s deputy chairman told the paper that “the police dogs have managed to identify a young man who kept drugs in his private car, and we handed him over to the prosecutor general to take the necessary legal action against him.”
The club official said the management regularly organized conferences to raise awareness among children and young men about the risks of smoking and drug addiction.
A number of top psychologists, sociologists and religious, legal and police specialists participated in the conferences, he added - Albawaba.com
