Mahmoud Derwich in the Carthage International Festival

Acropolium, Tunisia, hosted Mahmoud Derwich, well-known Palestinian poet, on Thursday August 11. La Presse reports that Mahmoud Derwich took part in the poetry evenings of the 41st International Festival of Carthage, which is in progress until August 23. The writer of "Song of Palestine", Mahmoud Derwich, is known as the national Palestinian poet. About the poetry of Derwich, famous French literary critic Jean-Michel MAULPOIX says, "in a rhythmical language, Derwich, dialogues with free verse through classical metrics. Epic lyricism and a complex thematic temporality are intertwined with different dimensions of narrative dialogue in his poetry."
