Libyan leader, Moammer Gadhafi, received on Monday President Idress Debi of Chad, a member of the Conference of Leaders and Heads of States of the Sahal-Saharan Community, Cen-Sad.
Gadhafi and President Debi discussed the results of the Quintet African Summit on Darfur concluded in Tripoli Sunday night, which mandated Gadhafi to contact all concerned parties in Darfur and to proceed until a permanent solution to the Darfur problem is found.
President Idress Debi, re-iterated in the course of the meeting, his high appreciation of the efforts exerted by the Libyan leader in trying to solve the Darfur problem, according to JANA.
He stressed that the danger of this problem is not only confined to neighboring countries but extends upon the entire region.
The meeting was attended by the Chadian Foreign Minister, Ngoum Yamaso, the assistant secretary of the African Union at the General Peoples Committee for Foreign Liaison and International Co-operation and the Secretary General of the Sahal-Saharan States Community Cen-Sad, Dr al-Madani al Azahari.
