With its sight firmly set on the rapidly expanding automobile sector, global and regional digital leader LG Electronics has launched a wide range of highly advanced car navigation systems.
The introduction of the LN series of car navigation systems will see LG Electronics consolidating its comprehensive portfolio of automotive-related products, where it reported an impressive 20 per cent growth in 2005. LG will introduce the range during this year’s GITEX exhibition, taking place from November 18 – 23.
With demand for passenger cars growing at a rapid rate, LG expects to capture a substantial share of the car navigation market. Its latest range allows motorists to effortlessly find their way through digital, user-friendly interfaces and voice instructions guarantee that the user can remain in complete driving control while accessing information.
“LG’s automotive products segment has witnessed a spectacular growth over the past two years due to unprecedented regional demand for state-of-the-art devices,” explained Mr. C. H. Lee, President, LG Electronics Gulf FZE. “The latest range complements our existing product offering to ensure that motorists can choose from a wide variety of solutions that meet their requirements.”
The LN715 is the leader of the pack. Built for high-performance and durability, the LN715 features a 4-inch TFT LCD touch-screen and allows for full map navigation in 2D, 3D, and day-and-night mode with a Sirf Star III chipset. The device comes equipped with a 2GB built-in memory, 1.1 USB port, and SD card slot. It also facilitates clear voice guidance in 11 languages with high power speaker output of 1.4 Watts.
At the touch of a button, users can access detailed area information in 2D or 3D viewing modes about roads and highways, restaurants, hospitals, gas stations, hotels, airports or any other points of interest. Other useful and customisable features include Trip Planner, History, and even road guidance so that motorists can choose from a range of short and decongested routes while driving.
During GITEX, LG will also introduce the LN700, LN600 and LN400 – each of them acclaimed for their versatility and rich features, while highlighting LG’s technological superiority in the consumer electronics segment.
The LG pavilion located in Hall 3 will highlight a range of its award-winning products that are aimed at enhancing the digital lifestyle. The new offerings include laptops, LCD and PDP televisions, DLP projectors, car audio and navigation systems, MP3 players, and more. Several of these products have recently won prestigious awards around the world.
“GITEX is of paramount significance to the LG brand,” Lee said. “It is our seventh year of participation and our main purpose is to showcase LG’s technical strengths and position the company as the leader in the IT, home appliance and communications segments.
“The exhibition provides us a platform to promote new products and maintain and enhance brand visibility. Over 100,000 visitors will be in the UAE to attend GITEX, and this is therefore the perfect time to position the brand.”
