Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates are preparing to sign an accord on judicial cooperation, a visiting UAE minister said in Beirut on Friday.
Speaking after talks with Lebanese Justice Minister Samir Jisr Friday, his Emirati counterpart, Mohammed Nukhaira Zahiri, said the accord was almost complete and “the two countries were getting prepared for the signing ceremony, which is expected to take place soon,” reported the Daily Star.
“My visit with Minister Jisr was a friendly one. Its purpose was to get introduced to the Lebanese judicial system,” said the UAE minister, who was accompanied by the UAE ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammed Hamad Omran – Albawaba.com
