Lebanon and Armenia signed Tuesday a military agreement during a visit by Armenian Defense Minister Serge Sarksyan to Beirut, reported the Daily Star newspaper.

The minister held a meeting with President Emile Lahoud and told him that he expects relations between the two countries to strengthen.

The minister arrived in Lebanon, coming from Syria during which he signed a similar military cooperation agreement with Damascus.

Sarksyan carried a message to Lahoud from Armenian President Robert Kocharian, who told Lahoud that he was proud of the cooperation the two countries have already achieved, said the paper – Albawaba.com
