A Lebanese-Belgian businessman who was kidnapped in Angola last week was released Sunday morning, Lebanese charge d'affaires in South Africa Ara Khatchadourian announced.
Khatchadourian gave no further details.
The captors of 60-year-old Michel Rizk, who was abducted in the capital Luanda, had demanded a ransom of $500,000 for his release. It remains unknown if the ransom was paid.
