It was reported that a many jewelers from Lebanon will participate in the International Jewelry Dubai (IJD) 2001, a press release published by AME-Info.com said.
The five-day event which will kick off on 15th March at Dubai World Trade Center.
Marie Munier, a Lebanese designer participating in IJD for the first time, will showcase a wide range of her newest designs, the news service added.
Some of the Lebanese participants will have a trademark design which is a unique technique using 18-karat gold dipped into 22-karat gold.
Products to be featured include necklaces, rings and bracelets, which combine elements of ancient and contemporary history while fusing the traditions of East and West, it added.
"We've had significant interest from Lebanon this year and the designs and styles coming from the country have traditionally been very popular in the Gulf region.
The Lebanese designers seem to have a flair for combining European style while retaining an element of the Arabic tradition," said Jackie Reed, International Project Manager for IJD.
International Jewelry Dubai (IJD) is supported by the World Gold Council and the Diamond High Council (Antwerp) and is held annually at the Dubai World Trade Center. – Albawaba.com
