At least eight people were killed and several injured when a train hit a van carrying immigrants on a level crossing near Lorca, in southeast Spain, police said Wednesday.
The dead were all in the van. The injured were on the train, which was carrying 25 passengers, police said.
The cause of the accident was not immediately known.
