At least 11 Iraqis killed in Kut, Fallujah

Seven Iraqis were killed and 34 injured as US forces attacked the southern city of Kut, a hospital official said.  

 

A woman was among six people killed and 20 wounded when US shells hit the Izzat district on the Tigris River, said the chief of Kut's general hospital.  

 

Later Friday, the governor of Kut, Mohammed Ridha al-Jashami, warned of renewed air strikes by the US-led forces in case fresh violence broke out or if curfew orders were disobeyed, The AFP reported.  

 

Elsewhere, four Iraqi civilians were killed and three wounded as US forces and resistance fighters clashed in the city of Fallujah early Friday, a hospital official said. (albawaba.com)
