Kyrgyz President Askar Akayev said Wednesday he had not ruled out the possibility of allowing the United States to use its territory to stage attacks against Afghanistan.
"If such a request comes, we will be ready to consider it," Akayev told AFP.
"We have already stated our determination and our solidarity that the perpetrators of this act should be found and should be held responsible," he noted.
But he added: "The United States have not put forward such a request."
Akayev was attending a meeting of the Vienna-based Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
