Zelensky claims that the Ukrainian military has advanced significantly in Kursk, controlling the situation and attending to humanitarian requirements in the regions under their control. The Russian Defense Ministry, on the other hand, declared that Russian soldiers are actively retaliating against Ukrainian strikes in Kursk. According to the government, just in the last day, Ukraine has lost almost 420 troops and 55 armored vehicles. According to reports, Ukraine has lost 2,030 soldiers and a large number of armored equipment, including 35 tanks and 31 armored personnel carriers, since the strikes began on August 6. Additionally, six Ukrainian soldiers were taken prisoner.
Acting Governor of the Kursk Region Aleksey Smirnov underlined the necessity for patience while highlighting the current situation. He mentioned that Kursk is receiving assistance and humanitarian help from various regions of Russia.
The Russian Security Council's deputy chairman, Dmitry Medvedev, denounced Ukraine's activities in Kursk as "terrorist acts" and threatened to take legal action against those who carried them out.
There have been serious skirmishes between the two sides as a result of the Kursk crisis, which started on August 6 with Ukrainian strikes. A total of 180,000 people are anticipated to be moved since the situation has been upgraded to a federal emergency, resulting in the evacuation of 121,000 individuals.
