The playoffs in the National Basketball Association games continued in different venues Sunday resulting in the Kings, Wolves and Knicks achieving a triumphant victory over their competitors.

The Sacramento Kings defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 99-91 in Sacramento winning their first two games by comfortable margins. They are to play Game 4 in the best-of-five series Tuesday night at Sacramento.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves staved off elimination with a 94-87 victory over the Trail Blazers in Minneapolis and are expected to play in the best-of-five series Tuesday night at the Target Center.

Timberwolves' Terrell Brandon scored 28 points in his best playoff performance ever and the Associated Press quotes him, "No matter who wins, our neighborhood wins."

The New York Knicks achieved an 87-80 victory over the Toronto Raptors in the first NBA playoff game in Canada whilst advancing to play the second round against their bitter rivals Miami Heat.

The Knicks and Heat will meet in the playoffs for the fourth straight season. This time, both teams are coming off 3-0 first-round victories - (Several Sources).
