President Vladimir Putin has called for stronger connections between Russia and North Korea, amid reports that he may meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in the coming days.
"I am confident that through our joint efforts, we will continue to strengthen... bilateral ties on all fronts," Putin wrote in a letter to Kim on Friday, according to AFP and North Korean media.
