Iranian President Mohammad Khatami will call on German leaders to take concrete action to prevent "terrorists" operating on German soil, Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi said Sunday in a clear reference to Iran's main armed opposition group, the People's Mujahedeen.

"Among the subjects which will be raised with our German counterparts," from Monday to Wednesday, will be "the question of terrorists benefiting from complete freedom to operate on German soil," Kharazi told newsmen of the Professional Association of Journalists.

"If the international community, Germany in particular, sticks to its principles of fighting terrorism, it must begin to take concrete action," he added.

The People's Mujahedeen, which is based in Baghdad, has announced demonstrations to mark President Khatami's official visit to Germany Monday through Wednesday - TEHRAN (AFP)
