Jordan's Minister of Information Nabil Sharif has welcomed the establishment of an interim cabinet in Iraq, terming it a "positive step" towards the election of a representative government, Al Dustour daily reported Tuesday.
"This is a positive step and we hope it will lead to real elections empowering the Iraqi people to elect a representative government," the daily quoted Sharif as saying.
Iraq's Governing Council announced a day earlier the names of 25 people who will act as ministers in an interim government until elections are held next year. (Albawaba.com)
