The joint Jordanian-Syrian will convene in Amman on April 24 for talks on setting up a free trade agreement, reported the official SPA news agency on Tuesday.
Assistant secretary general of Jordan’s ministry of industry and commerce Ahmed Hindawi said that the committee will be co-chaired by Prime Minister Ali Abu Raghenb and his Syrian counterpart Mustfa Miro.
The two sides will also discuss implementation of commercial agreements already signed between the countries, said the official.
He added that the committee would also discuss ways of increasing the volume of trade and possibility of establishing joint investment ventures.
