Jordan and Syria have decided to shorten the distance of air routes linking the two countries, the director
of Syrian Airlines said on Sunday.
The decision will come into effect on August 1, he said, cited by the official Jordanian news agency, Petra.
“Such a step will cut down 30 percent of the duration
of every flight operation between Amman and Damascus,” he said, adding that the decision will save $2,200 for
each flight.
All airlines operating flights between the two countries will benefit from the procedures, he added.
