XPress Telecommunications is now launching its new Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) service “XPlore” , a service that will allow all its subscribers to keep themselves updated on the latest in world news, and other entertaining features using their handsets.
The new "XPlore" service uses WAP technology to bring to subscribers content that combines the elements of usefulness and entertainment. This service is the first of its type to be available in Jordan in terms of its rich unique content and its subscription mechanism which is a fixed monthly fee for unlimited number of Kilobytes (KB) usage.
This new innovation from XPress provides a selection of the latest news, sports news, weather conditions around the world, along with prayer times , a reading of the holy Quran in both Arabic and English, daily quotes, jokes, horoscopes, a list of the movies playing in Jordanian cinemas and lots more.
Being the most useful information resource for business professionals, the new "XPlore" service also provides the biggest and most comprehensive directory of Jordanian sites including a hotel guide, a financial guide, an airline guide, ministries guide, restaurant guide, and an embassies guide in addition to the ability to check emails.
When asked to comment on this new service from XPress Telecommunications, Mr. Ayman Masri, XPress’s Business Development and Senior Products Manager, said, “We always strive to bring to our subscribers convenient, easy to use and cost effective services that respond to their day to day needs.
