Jordanian opposition groups plan to file a motion against the government, which has recently wrapped up a new electoral law they deem unconstitutional.
Sources told Albawaba.com that the higher committee coordinating actions of Islamists, leftist and pan-Arabist political parties had agreed to take the dispute with the government to court.
The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the government’s insistence on sticking to the notorious one-man-one-vote law a blow to democracy in the kingdom.
Meanwhile, the committee discussed at its Tuesday meeting the interior ministry’s refusal to license the proposed Popular Fund for Supporting the Intifada. A legal panel was formed to study the option of filing a lawsuit against the ministry for the decision – Albawaba.com
