Jordan’s King Abdullah left Amman on Friday for the United Kingdom, the first leg of a tour that will take him to Kuwait.

During his visit to the United Kingdom, the king will lay the cornerstone for a building at Sandhurst College that will carry the name of the late King Hussein, reported the official Jordanian news agency Petra.

The king is expected to arrive in Kuwait next Sunday to hold talks with the emir, Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, and other senior officials on bilateral ties and developments in the region.

Abdullah was assigned by the leaders at the March Arab Summit to follow up on the ‘Iraqi Case,’ and try to reach a compromise to end the conflict between Iraq and Kuwait – Albawaba.com
