Jordan's King Abdullah II is to visit Kuwait on Monday for talks with its ruler, Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah, on regional developments, a palace official told AFP.
The visit, which had been expected to take place last weekend but was postponed for time-tabling reasons, will also focus on means of strengthening bilateral relations, the official said.
Abdullah's visit to Kuwait will be the fourth since he ascended the throne in February 1999. Also last week, Kuwait inaugurated a press center in Amman, in the latest sign of improved relations between the two countries which had been at odds over Jordan's refusal to join a United Nations-led coalition in the 1991 Gulf war that drove Iraqi troops from Kuwait.
