A Jewish woman, dressed as an Arab, was arrested by Israeli police on Saturday when she tried to enter al-Haram al-Sharif [known to Israelis as Temple Mount], reported Haaretz newspaper, citing Israel Radio.
The woman, who claimed that it was merely a prank, was taken in by the police for questioning.
Jewish access to al-Haram al-Sharif has been a source of tension since the visit by then opposition Likud leader Ariel Sharon to the area, which has sparked off the Intifada.
A Jewish group calling itself the ‘Temple Mount Faithful’ petitioned the Supreme Court to hold a Passover service on the area, but their demand was denied, said Haaretz -- Albawaba.com
