Jewish settlers on Thursday uprooted trees, burned fields and destroyed the houses of Palestinians near Ramallah, close to where three settlers were wounded Wednesday night by armed Palestinian near the Jewish settlement of Halamish, Army Radio reported, cited by Haaretz newspaper.
Two of the injured settlers were in moderate condition, while the third was lightly injured.
The three were on their way home from a rally organized by settler leaders in Jerusalem, which was aimed at pressuring Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon into waging what the protesters termed “all-out war on Palestinian President Yasser Arafat.
On Wednesday, dozens of Jewish settlers attacked Palestinians in the West Bank cities of Nablus and Hebron.
More than 20 houses and two schools were burned and a number of fields were destroyed in the villages of Sawyeh and Lebban by the settlers under the protection of the occupation troops.
A number of Palestinians were injured in the attacks.
In Hebron, Jewish settlers attacked several Palestinian youths, leaving two of them in a serious condition, according to the Palestinian news agency, WAFA – Albawaba.com
