A Jewish settler from the Alfei Menashe settlement in the West Bank shot dead Monday a Palestinian, whom he claimed was a “burglar who had broken into his house in the pre-dawn hours Monday,” Israel’s Army Radio said, cited by Haaretz newspaper.
The settler said he was awakened by suspicious noises, then saw two figures in his house.
He said he “called on them to halt," and when they failed to stop, he opened fire, killing one of the alleged burglars.
