Geoff Polites, CEO, Jaguar and Land Rover, visited Al Tayer Motors, the Importer for Jaguar cars and Land Rover in the UAE.  This was Geoff Polities first visit after his new role as CEO of Jaguar and Land Rover to the region and it comes at an opportune time with the Middle East being one of the fastest growing markets in the world for Jaguar and Land Rover.

Geoff Polites toured the state-of-the-art Al Tayer Motors facility located on Sheikh Zayed Road accompanied by Ashok Khanna, General Manager, Al Tayer Motors. Built at a cost of more than AED100 million the facility is a fine example of providing enhanced customer convenience and experience. This facility also represents an increase in the Jaguar and Land Rover's bay capacity by 213% and 158% respectively thus presenting customers with a better and more convenient, premium experience.

Land Rover and Jaguar are going through an exceptionally exciting period with Land Rover witnessing unprecedented growth on a global and regional level.  Global sales for 2005 increased by 14% and by 21% across the Middle East.  March was also the best ever single month's performance in the company’s history with global sales up 23% and 99% for the Middle East over 2005. Complimenting this growth Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors were also recently felicitated for achieving the highest worldwide per capita in Sales for Range Rover.

Jaguar recently launched the new XK sports car which has been successfully welcomed across the Middle East.  All units allocated for the Middle East market were sold out before the vehicle even arrived.

The Middle East continues to be a very important market for both Jaguar and Land Rover. The region is Range Rover’s third largest market in the world. Customers in the Middle East have a discerning appetite for luxury products, and with two of the world’s most respected luxury automotive brands, Jaguar and Land Rover are set to reach greater heights in this region.
